Any updates?

Thinking of going out this weekend, but if things are dead slow I might not even bother dragging the gear and may look at hitting up nootka and targeting those conuma river springs again :D.

Been a couple days of rain now aswell not sure if that has affected anything in the inlet, plus there was rumors that they were around the northern tip of the island mainly near tahsis but to say those are all RCH chinooks is just a wild guess.

Out early sunday morning, trolled the inner harbour for a few passes with one coho taking the bait. Then trolled slower all the way to china creek and back, nothing, n ot even on the sounder.I dont know where the springs are, there are way more coho around then springs. Only a couple thousand in the river so far.Im going to put all my effort in around the river mouth, seems on the flood the bite will be getting better. The consistant rains have kept the river really high, so the cohoes still seem scattered. We need a week of sun. The coho was on an abe and al flasher with 24 inch leader with blue green bucktail trolled at 17 feet 3 miles and hour

Not surprised with the lackluster reports that have been coming from the inlet. Sad to see commercials have decimated the runs as much as they have, only another 7 years of this kind of fishery if this year is any indicator.

Anyways i'm off to work, hopefully you guys get some better luck out there in the coming days.
