they sure are warm :) use to where them when I was little when I steelhead fished

Cheers All,

Sorry this has taken so long but only got off phone with knitter 10 minutes ago.

Karen is a native knitter from the Cowichand Band and is very qualified to knitt original Cowichan sweaters. She can do many varieties (crew kneck, pullover, full zipper etc...) and offers exceptional service with both stock and custom orders.

I will not be posting her information but will provide the information on a per person basis upon a PM.

Please note: This knitter is a a lady and a professional. She will accomodate your inquiries and requests but is to be treated with the utmost respect and decorum that I know all of you posses. Please do not 'beat her up on the price' nor ask unreasonable delivery or adjustments. She is doing us a favour and, as such, we need to both recognize and respect her willingness. It will only take one bad apple to destroy her willingness.

Thank you for your understanding.

that's funny, I'm going to see her myself tomorrow for three sweaters - she's going to be a busy lady with FVI orders!

just doing some research looking for design ideas and came across the whole HBC issue, pretty disgusting really. While HBC claims that they are not selling cowichan sweaters the image below proves that they are intentionally selling a knock-off product.

M/Missile, so what did you order. I have a plane knitted sweater with trim on the waistband, collar, and cuffs, with wooden buttons for the wife, and I got the salmon on the front with a bear on the back, look forward to wearing them but not in this rain.

ya I think I just missed you TS - I'm getting a traditional sweater with a eagle on the back and salmon on the front. As a fishermen I think it would be really bad luck to not have salmon somewhere on the sweater.

The GF got one with a beaver on the back and orcas on the front - hopefully they are ready in a week or so, I could use mine in this cold weather.
