Spent a couple nights at Toquart Bay over the long weekend,

made two morning trips trying to scrub up a salmon or two, Sat AM trolled around great bear rock with not so much as a rockfish, a couple guideboats in the area but no one seemed to be getting anything.

Sun AM trolled around Swale, got 2 (8 and 15lbs or so) early and that was it. again a few boats around, everyone else we talked to was having a tough time getting anything.

The two we hit were at 80 ft on a glow spackleback hoochie.

The wife and I fished Swale/Harbour Entrance Saturday and Sunday mornings. Not really early, about an hour before tide change and on into the afternoon.Picked up three,6,8,and 10 pounds.Slow but the weather was nice.Picked up another small one on the way home Monday morning at Pill Point. All on bait.

Fished Pill,Diplock, Swale and Poets. The weather was't cooperating but managed to pick up one 14 lber at Pill at 265 ft on an anchovie. That was it for Sunday. On Saturday picked up one 13 lber on a Batrix at 130 ft and a 14 lber on anchovie at 127 ft front of Poets Nook.

Spoons or hootchies of all types did nothing. Aside from the crappy weather it was fun just to get out there

We fished the Whistle Buoy again on Saturday. Picked up 2 springs, released 1 of them, and got a decent ling too. We moved to the Wall for some of the seasick passengers :D. We didn't get anything at the Wall.

Fished Pill for an hour solo sunday morning before I had to go home, saw lots on the finder but didn't pick anything up.

Prawning is still good infront of the Nook.

We'll be back out Wednesday night to Sunday, hoping for some improved weather.

Got up at 4:00 this morning and was thinking of heading back down the inlet for some Sockeye, but decided to head to Pill Point instead for the 5:00 tide change. Had a quick 6 springs to the boat, released 2 and kept 4. Then back to the Nook for breakfast :D good way to start the trip.

Probably gonna have a nap :D Then take the kids back to Pill after dinner and try for another 4. Didn't see anything big this morning, but we were only there for about 40 minutes. All 6 were on an Army Truck hootchie at 120 ft.

Back to Pill Pt. tonight with the kids, had fun watching them do the work, lost a few, released a few, and got 3 more in the boat. Not a bad day out here. Prawning still good in front of the Nook too.

We fished 120 ft and 220 ft with Army Truck hootchies and Green/White Glow ZurTro spoon. Both were producing.

We are heading somewhere else tomorrow to see if we can find some bigger ones.

Here is the report for the rest of the weekend:

Friday: We went out to Beale and fished for a bit, had a few smalls lings right away, but it was pretty nasty so we came back in and enjoyed the sunshine (and wind) for the rest of the day.

Saturday: Back to Pill Pt. for the morning tide picked up 3 springs. Went back after dinner and got 2 more.

Sunday: Back to Pill Pt. again, this time at first light, well worth the early wake up, easy limit of 4, and back to the Nook.

Finished the trip with 16 springs and 1000+ prawns. Had a great time fishing with the family this weekend. Good time to take the kids with all the action.

All fish were at Pill Pt., fist light if definitely the best time, but fishing around the tides was good too. 120 ft with Army Truck hootchy or 50/50 Blue-Nickle spoon.

Now is the time to get out there!
