oh ya down by the hatchery birdge the snaggers were relentless and the place was full people. just go exploring a bit. i must say though, i landed more chum out of the hatcherys pool than anywhere else on the river. try going upstream a bit. this year i caught must my chums on a blue and black prawn there(i was fly fishing).

its stupid how they allow that pool to be attacked like that

at least most of the fish dont spawn in that pool because im sure the snaggers would just be dragging them off their redds.

made it up to the hatchery on sunday, it was pouring so not much ppl. there were 2 guys fishing the bottom pool, i walked upstream and did some exploring. didnt catch any or any bites but saw plenty of fish moving up, and really enjoyed my hike inspite of the rain;)

you know sometimes those are the best days, just out by yourself exploring new areas.

totally agree mm, i just really enjoy being out and about. i plan to go there this weekend again. some nice pools i found on my way back to the truck. hope its pouring again!
