little story.

tonight, a 30k loaded grain ship cleared lionsgate bridge in the outbound lane. A 18-20ft re aluminum boat with top, with 2 guys on, was fishing scross his path close by, he called on ch 16 to ask them to be careful. They told pilot to get ##### and kept going nearly missing a crunch. Pilot called on another CG channel we had on, said he was harrassed by drunks on tin boat abd could see a visble beer cooler. Vancover cops came out and fellow is being escorted to dock....probably facing drunk driving charges. ( in case you're not aware, it does affect your BC license.)

Good..... idiots like that don't deserve to operate a boat or vehicle

another story,
heard fri am on ch 16 nanaimo harbour, guy has smoke coming out of engine room, on 35ft boat. calls mayday, CG says be right there, he says no no, send the fire dept.... couldn't get thru head why fire dept not answering his call.

just so u know, the coast or auxilary rescue are the fire and all other depts.

It's all hearsay-there's no proof the guy was impaired and the cargo ship captain could be FOFS.
