Well I went up on Friday with a few buddies, 2 of the guys we fished with are born and raised tofino fishermen, one with 8 years guiding experience that area. Both agreed it was the worst fishing they have ever seen in their lives.

We saw no bait, and marked zero fish and only manged to scrape up one feeder for 2 days fishing. We fished from sydney inlet to inclose to tofino and every "spot" in between, the fish simply were not there.

Kept in contact with the charter boys offshore tofino and it was more of the same offshore.

We had a great time but the results were extremely disappointing. Here's hoping things turn around soon up there!

Thats to bad to hear. Sounds like some fish moved into barkely the last few days. Maybe just missed them by a few days.

I'm sorry that you had disappointing results fishing Clayoquot Sound on the Long Weekend. Unfortunantly it sounds like you may have been fishing in the wrong areas. There was good fishing to be had on the inside (we limited out Sat and Sun)and being a long time (23 yrs) guide here helped a lot. Also, the guys that were in the right area offshore saw epic fishing - you csn't always go by what you hear on the radio. Pls PM me the next time you are headed this way and i would be happy to steer you in the right direction

cheers
