I checked out a couple of spots on upper cow yesterday, pretty quiet out there. Saw just a few coho around and a couple of trout but no takers of either. Water sure looked good though.

nice work, I might just pop up there myself this weekend. I fly fish for trout but curious when the gear restrictions end?

Cowichan high and coloured

Warning to all boaters, there is a large tree right across the river at the washout.

Happy new year.

yeah that tree is big :(
I looked at it Monday thinking how I was going to cutr her out
shes tight in there
trying to figure out the best way to cut her out and not wreck the pool and cut it from the best side possible so that it may hold a few fish once its cut
Plenty of water pushing hard against it now, it sure could make for a bad day should anyone hit it

Be careful, no fish is worth injuring yourself for.

Bigchrome,

Dont forget about the tree down at the washout!
I fished the cowie at 2.0m with a broken left middle finger on my pin :? , manage to land a smaller one on a gooey , the best part was a nice chunk showing off its bling. I guess it was a doe because nothing was good enough for her. Also herd of a nice 10 pounder nailed the other day.
Fish are there if u can find fishable water.

Splitty :)

has anybody been in the top end for trout? Around January do a lot of the trout move back up into the lake?
