Just moved to Parksville.
Don't have a boat yet.
Where can I go to drop a few crab traps? Shrimps maybe?
Government docks? Where.
Would appreciate a bit of direction.

There's nowhere around Parksville you can really drop a trap unless you have some manner of vessel.

In downtown Nanaimo waterfront there is a dock/pier where many drop a trap there and do pretty good on Dungeness crabs. It's on the "seawalk".
