Pinks are already showing in Departure Bay and it is open to fishing in the designated area. It is single barbless hook with a shank to tip measurement of 15 mm or less. It is not fly fishing only in Departure Bay. You can cast what you want as long as the hook size is legal. The mouth of the Millstone is not officially open until the posting goes out. It will have an artificial fly only restriction. Limit is 4 per day.

I was up at Campbell River on the weekend and the river is full. on the way back stopped at nile creek and right at the river it was crazy trying to find a place to park. saw 2 caught but there was a pretty good school right out in front of the river. the other place I think they might be is Nanoose Bay, they should be there also.

Hi,
Does anyone Know how busy it is down at the Millstone rivermouth? Are people catching fish? My kids have tied up some flies and are anxious to try them out but, I want to avoid the gong show that was going on down there last year. If anyone knows, thanks in advance.

lots of guys down there a few boats. they seem to be throwing lots of hardware along with the flies and no one has bothered to tell them about the regs. I think it should just be wide open and let the people at the fish. seems making rules and not enforcing them isnt really working. :o
