The down riggers that i have are 24" can you buy just the boom? I would like to
get 32" or bigger, if you can where or whom would one call in Nanaimo and is it cheaper to just buy some good used ones

You can get the Scotty adujustable 36-60 inch booms from Scotty directly or any of the local dealers to replace yours. Don't know how much they would cost though.

If your riggers have the larger diameter booms, you can get the 60 inch telescoping booms in one day through Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo. Talk to Dane and you will probably get a deal. It takes 5 minutes to switch out old to new - it's easy!
