Downriggers - what is your preference for line and tackle??

No it's relatively hard braided nylon line.

Do you live near a commercial fishing store at all?

Well I did just that. That joint is a candy store!!! Rob was very helpful and intuitively respected my 'cheap side'. I left with the few items I needed to get going and an invite to come for more as I become more adept.

I was quite impressed with the way staff treated me even though I am just a newbie.
