Well they have published a form for anglers to sign up and express interest in purchasing halibut quota. If you care about our fishing future please DO NOT show any interest.

Instead what I suggest is to follow the link below and send DFO a short note telling them you will never purchase quota - or a simple F-U works as well ;).

http://www-comm.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/form/ ... di-eng.htm

Note: You only need to fill out one blank and hit send, don't bother filling out the complete form, unless you want to of course.

As said on the other board.... I am not sure that is a good idea MM.

They will say they have had a lot of interest and wont say in what regard.... something to think about?

you know I read that on SFBC - I really don't see how that is possible whatsoever.

The argument that they could count my one liner telling them to f-off as interest doesn't hold any water. Its also assuming that some how this is a vote, like if they get enough expressed "interest" they will go ahead with it - TOO LATE, they are already going ahead with it!

I can tell you that contact form( with no human verification system or required fields) will have lots of automated spam coming through. So are you telling me that each time a Ukrainian spammer sends a link for pen*s pills they will count that as "interest" as well?

To each their own but I'm going to keep sending my thoughts to these idiots by any means made available to me.

I am not going to disagree.... but for the sake of discussion they might see each application as interest.... regardless if it says F-off or a legit app... I don't think there would(should) be a legit application.

Maybe they will be smart enough to actually look at them... I am not holding my breath though

P.S. ... I got to play cutt-stradamus the last couple nights ;)

Ha - you must have, because you read my mind and I was about to ask you about that.
