went out with my daughter this aft. and fished Grande to past Whalebone. I saw about two or three fish being played in that area and picked up an 11 lb'r myself in 120" of water about 10' off the bottom between 5 and 6. :Lots of boats , flat water, some heat, you would think it was summer.

Took the kids out trolling this evening, lost two nice ones and released two shakers. Gave up and went jigging for lings, double header springs in under two minutes in fifty feet of water. didn't have a scale but one measured 30" and the other 33" and the bigger one was taken on a freshwater rod and reel. Tonnes of fun and their first spring salmon.

Tuesday morning, 2 friends from Ontario on board, did the Grande, Whalebone and finally hit a 8lb. jack in Lock Bay on a kitchen sink. This guy had never caught a salmon before and was happy as hell about this fish! Lots of 10 in. shakers, 18 in. ling cod and seaweed and reed grass from the river.Silver Blue was in same area, nada. Hastamanana was out @ Thrasher but couldn't hear him on the VHF. A few boats that I didn't recognize with not much action. I hope all these little guys return in 2 or 3 years, Silver Blue reported a released 5 lb. coho in beautiful shape, his clients were happy non the less.

One 26" keeper on 3.5" irish creme at Thrasher. I found it right on the bottom in 90' of water. Beautiful red and fat. I don't know what's up with my radio, maybe I need to redo the connections.
