I don't the chance to troll for halibut like some of you west coast guys but came across this:

Looked sort of interesting but probably more complicated then need be.

Looks kinda trippy might catch a toddler if I left it outa my box
If you have no luck with hoochies or trolling the good old white grubs off a spreader bar is the go too set up, I've cought all my bigger halis ancerd off constance in victoria, the trolling has produced alot of teeners and mid 20 pounders for me on the west coast and if theres to many doggys or rat fish for bait I go strait to the white grubs and some smelly jelly :)
Hope I helped
definetly glow hoochies all sizes behind a flasher

lol - I should have clarified that this is not mine, nor do I intend on running such a rig. Just a slow day and I found it on another website.

What I found interesting was the predator chain idea used for tuna applied to halibut.

Run one of those bad boys out on the big bank when the coho are thick

Yep, lots of bling there. Looks like it is more designed to catch a fisherman than a fish. Good old turd and flasher works great - or perhaps I'm just lazy and don't want to untangle that contraption. :o
