Cheers All,

I have a charter in Victoria on Thursday. Guests are coming in on float plane in inner harbour. I need a bit of info - Please:

1) Does the ramp at Ogden Point (by Trotac Marine) have parking? Does it have dock? I will be by myself and find ramps with no docks difficult to manage.

2) Is Ogden Point does not have parking/or dock is there another source of launching near that would have parking and a dock?

Thank you for your help.

FG,

Ogden point does have a launch, but no dock. Closest/best launch to downtown would be Esquimalt Anglers / Flemming beach. Cross Bue bridge stay on Esquimalt rd and take left on Lampson... all the way to the end. Lots of parking in off season. With that said its going to be a choppy day! Good luck, I hope they are used to the swells.

Thank you shepnoir,

Seems like Esquimalt Anglers is the place to be! :) Thank you for the detailed directions - will take a copy of GoogleMaps with me - just in case!

As for the weather...not at all concerned: we are doing a study of the inner harbour and will spend the entire day within the confines of the Victoria Harbour. :) I am more concerned about the call for snow on the Malahat as that 'goat trail' is bad enough in the rain...throw in snow and it's a nasty place to be let along towing a boat! :(

Again...thank you for taking the time to respond...much appreciated!

Definitely the place for you to launch, the ogden point is most likely piled high with drift wood and of course there dock.
