hey not bad at all, have they posted the results anywhere Scott?

I was wondering if they decided to stop posting results because they have been so few fish caught the last few years? The low number of fish must impact future registrations I would think?

I think I heard 700 tickets, so 1400 rod days for 125 fish is pretty dismal - maybe they need to move to the end of the month as it seems the early fish just aren't showing up in numbers anymore.

George the long time president of the derby said at the banquet that they were thinking of changing the date of the derby to a month later because of last year's slow fishing.
He said the overwhelming response he got from derby participants is that they wanted to keep the event on Father's Day. Don't think the date will be changing anytime too soon IMO.

I didn't think about that, Father's day is a perfect weekend for a derby - tough to argue against that.

i always look at this derby as the kick off to the summer fishing season, i think it would be a shame to change the date, and afterall how will lippy remember his anniversary if they change the date  ...it is called fishing and not catching, its kinda like a 1-0 hockey game, still exciting with anticipation, doesnt have to be 15 goals scored to keep ya watching, same as a derby, there doesnt have to be 800 fish weighed in to make it exciting and have a good time :) ....holmes*
