I hear the halibut fishing is pretty good out from Jordan river this time of year. Has anyone ever been there? If so can you tell me where the nearest boat ramp would be? We are fishing from a 21 foot trophy so backing in from the beech might be bad.

Closest would be Jocks dock in Sooke, bit of a run but i hear Jordan river is
producing this year.

yup all the way to sombrio beach can be great fishing if the weather is calm, some great water to drift if you prefer that too. I much prefer it to "urban" halibut fishing around Victoria but its a long run.
