June 18-19 Silva Bay fishing derby

Some great prizes for the derby this year. Harbour Chandler has donated a chart plotter and Ace has thrown in a Brutus Trap puller. Tickets are $25/rod and are available at Silva Bay Marina and Harbour Chandler.

Do you have to start at silva or nanaimo? Is there a boundry? I would love to fish it but would likely run out of nanoose and would prefer to fish here then run down.

North boundary for the derby is basically Neck Point. Lots of fish down this way so come on down.

This year's derby should be great. Probably the best prize table we have had in a long time. Top prizes include: cash, chart plotter from Harbour Chandler, Bradley Digital Smoker from the Nanaimo Daily News, Ace trap hauler from Ace, fishing rods from Redl, Active Tackle and PNT plus lots of tackle from Gibbs, Oki, Sea Four, Makingtackle.com, PNT, Rhys Davis and others. Oh crap! I have to work the 18th.

To make it worse, I have been towing the winning fish behind the boat all this time... :lol:

I will miss fishing this derby as it is always a fun time.

Had my buddy pick up tickets and see the weigh in is for noon sunday. What are the rules for weigh in saturday? I assume there is a cutoff in the evening? Sorry for the 21 questions.
