Hey i was just curious of any forum members have any of these spoons, and if they would be willing to part with them for the right price.
I never understood why they were discontinued in the first place, they will catch anything that swims..

And any in the # 2 size he doesn't take, I'd be all over them!
DEADLY on (of all things) sockeye!

Heard a story from a fellow I met fishing the Stamp for steel a couple years back now that they were going to come back into production. Thus far that hasn't happened, and I am wondering where it went off the rails. Damn good spoon alright! So good I now have an Uncle Stateside making a few copies each year to get me through. ;)

Closest imitation is the McKnight btw...

Cheers,
Nog

That would be awesome if they were made again!
I even caught a 40lb hali on it this season!
I am aware of the mcknights, but would much rather have the "Krippled K"

I still have a couple of them, and 1 of them can no longer be used because its basically caught too many fish (hook is about to pull through the metal)
How can you make them?
I am in a metal fabrication class at school, but we have very limited resources.

I've got a couple I picked up and Johnson's Hardware before they went the way of the dodo bird. I was looking for ones that were blaze orange on one side and nickle on the other, but all they had were straight nickle. Only used one a couple times since I got them and never had a bite. If you were going to try to imitate one, I could lend you one for a model. Of course I would want it back seeing how they aren't made anymore.

PM me if I can help.

The straight nickel spoon is what i use! Except i painted the top part of the spoon green.
I'm going to ask my instructor if we have the means to duplicate these things.

Good spoon for sure
a few guys I know look for them constantly Yard sales best place
or ask someone that use to fish but not so much anymore they prolly have a few as they worked excellent in lakes and Ocean

Best time to fish them is when the herring are about the same size
some of them I have put a glo eye on, like coyote spoons come with but They havent produce any more or less with or with out the eye

hard to find the bigger size spoons

I have heard that almost any lure can be repressed if there is interest. In fact I heard that a special lure the I like could be pressed if I ordered as little as 10.
