I will be posting reports here about Langford lake trout for i go there a lot cause i live 5min by mountain bike, pulled by a Siberian husky named Skeena.I did a test fish at the fishing dock with not even a sniff on powerbait,Worms from my worm farm did not produce either. It is slow.Last week i was able to pull 2 small rainbows and a small bass about 9inches,Bass are slowing down. The water level is very low and the water is very warm for time of year, trout fishing will pick up after a bit of rain and when the temp goes below 65degrees ft.Try worms after a rain or during a rain.Powerbait off the bottom is a good producer.Right now you will do better in a boat to be able to get deep by trolling at Langford lake.Last year at this time the fishing was great for trout ,just goes to show how the seasons weather greatly affects the fishing.Salmonslayer over and out.........

Used to fish Langford all the time when we first moved here 8 years ago. Then I started salmon fishing on the fly and lost some of the interest in the local lakes.
Look forward to seeing the updates and may start up again.

langford lake is reknowned for having some decent size rainbows i have pulled three lb rainbows out of there.got one last year that was 3lb9oz,have a pic next to my dog and it is as tall as her.i have a few spots i like that produce some nice ones ,regularly pull 2lb twenty plus inch rainbows out of there in late fall, winter and early spring.i fish from shore but am going to set up a little boat with electric.AN 8lb 1 oz rainbow was pulled this year in the Loghouse trout derby,it was like the size of a good coho, couldn't believe it,wow.I have been concentrating on chasing northern coho so i have not been doing a lot of trout fishing also the summer sucks for trout. Will be there a lot soon when they turn back on and will let you all know.Ss out.......

i would like to now if anyone has been up to the Triangle Mt,resevoir lately. Was up there a couple weeks ago and the water level was super low.it is a great place to take kids for it's almost impossible not to catch fish there, however last time i was up nothing, but when it turns back on watch out.can you say limits in five minutes ten times quickly.the trout are small but the fishing is tall. Also,i have gotten cat fish up there on worms, ugly things they are but i love fishing up there.Ss out......

I have never fished there. I have a 5 year old daughter that is showing interest in fishing, so want to promote it. How do you get to it?

go up Fulton rd,take a left at second turnoff and then a right it's off sunshine terrace,at the top by the cell towers if you can't see the tower your not there ,look it up on mapquest or something if you want to be sure,i would wait a bit for them to turn on up there, water level is low and water too warm for trout right now,a bit of rain and cold nights will do the trick. My neice is 5 and lives a block away ,i took her there in april and she caught three rainbows, her first.they are all about 12 -14 inches, stockers of course.it is great fun and good place for flyrod to,you don't need a boat, very small and only about 15 ' deep in the middle.Use a slip float and a worm works best, set your knot at 12' ,three feet from the bottom and thats it prepare to slay all day.Ss out......

Langford lake is still slow for trout, went this mor ning for a couple of hours, rainy, got one trout on orange P.B, a few bass on worms one pretty good size but he jumped and spat the hook.good sc rapper,i throw them all back anyway for i am not targeting them, trout was a good panfry, talked with some of the other guys who were at the fish dock and nothing ......rain and cold will pick it up.their is a fisheries net in the water, i am guessing they are trying to estimate the yellow perch pop. hope they can killl them off somehow.Ss out.....
