Local SFAC meeting date change.

The fall meeting of our local (Mid-Island) Sports Fishing Advisory Committee will be held Thursday, Nov. 18th. 7pm. (Meeting has been changed from Oct. 14 and rescheduled to Nov. 18 to allow DFO rep time to collect accurate catch data). at the Nanaimo Fish and Game Club. We will meet in the "Trap range" building which is on the right hand side when you come in. All recreational anglers are encouraged to attend. If you have not already done so, please let me know if you have any topics you would like discussed. I can make sure the DFO rep in attendance comes prepared if we know the areas of concern in advance. Final agenda will be available in the next few days.

I have read some stuff about this organization and have been intrigued and I think it is time for my son and I to come to one of the meetings. I would like to bring up this halibut closure issue for sporties big time knowing that the commercial guys are still out there. I would like to know as well about DFO enforcement locally and what one can do, say, or write to our government to help increase the front line.

I would like to say my son and I will be there Hot Rod's. We are new to this (going to meetings) but think we have to get more involved.

Just wondering how many members are there in this local of the SFAC? I noticed today there are 116 views to your thread and only our replies to each other. I don't know much about the SFAC but I'm assuming the more members the better? Just curious how many folks on this forum are members of the SFAC and will be attending?
