just a couple of more days to enter guys and the odds are still really good. Nanaimo hatchery is looking for funds, so a donation there would be a great way to get an entry in.

Here is my tip or tactic. Hope it wins this as my hand held is getting smaller every year. ;)

Take a kid fishing!
I have had lots of good days on the water over the years, but non are talked about more or remembered more fondly than the ones I have spent with my Daughter. Even at 15 she still like to go fishing with the old man.

You must to be able to show proof of donation before the end of the contest.

Hello all, a way of handling larger Halibut that we used to use was to get another line in their mouth attached to a float. We would then noose their tail and tie it to the boat ( don't do this with a small boat). We then used a hatchet to dispatch the fish. Let the fish bleed while we rested, then tied it over the bow. This was before harpoons of course but might help in a pinch. good luck to all.
