Cheers All,

Time to update my Marine First Aid for Transport Canada. I am arranging a Standard Marine First Aid Course (necessary for Guides) which will be a long ONE day couse rather than the usual two. The going price was $225.00 at VIU and $175.00 at St. John's but have negotiated a price of $116.00 for this one.

Will be held in Nanaimo in mid-January.

Contact me for info....

Gerry,
If you are looking for people to particpate, I would be interested. I have had several couses over the years, but never the marine version and the price is certainly right.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Cheers All,

Have one or maybe two spots left for the Marine First Aid occuring Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in Nanaimo. Instead of $225.00 for 2 days of coursework, we have arranged a special pricing of $110.00 plus GST for a long, one day course. Great deal!

Give me a shout if you wish to take part. Guides...you must be able to show a current First Aid Course any time you are on the water with clients. Sportsfishermen/ourdoor enthusiasts - this is one course that could literally save your life or the life of a loved one. A very intelligent investment in both time, effort and financial resources.

I need to know quickly if you wish to take part as this course nor price will not be repeated this year.

Hey & Hi Gerry!

Sorry for the delayed response. Sister ended up in the hospital on Friday, and I've been hovering there damn near ever since...

We are Good To Go for Wednesday. All 4 have their basics down (confirmed) so i do not foresee any problems with digesting the condensed version.

Left you a message on your phone - will be about The Hacienda on and off most of the day. Just have to run out and collect a bunch of the spices for the ongoing deer sausage production, then back to the related machine...

Many Thanks for putting this together!
Looking Forward!
Matt

Cheers All,

The Marine First Aid Course, for this Wednesday, is now FULL. Thank you to all who inquired and to those who are part.

For those who are not taking part it might be a valuable consideration to ensure that you, or your fishing partner, has a first aid course. One never knows when they will need it but, rest assured, it always seems that it occurs at the most inopportune moment.

Cheers All,

Putting together one final Marine Standard First Aid Course for this year. This is a one day (instead of 2) and will cost only $120.00 (instead of $200.00-285.00). This course provides your Transport Canada Marine Standard First Aid Course (good for 4 years) as well as your St. John's Standard First Aid (good for 3 years).

There is room for 6 (one spot already taken) and the only pre-requisite is having passed a Standard First Aid Course previously. If you wish to know how the course is set up you can ask Iron Noggin' who was in the last course.

Let me know so I can set up a date. The course will be in Nanaimo as during last course there were guides from Ucluelet, Port Alberni, Courtenay, Nanaimo and Duncan. Having the course in the geopgraphical centre allows most to travel there and back in one day.
