Does anybody fish with a multi tip system like the RIO Coldwater VersiTip or Orvis system?
I really like the flexibility without carrying extra spools, but how do they cast?

I use various makes (mainly Rio) from 4wgt thru 8 wgt. They are a good solution if you don't want to invest in a lot of lines & spare spools. I find they cast better up to the med sink rate - the fast sink tips will hinge a bit but not enough to make them unpleasant or not worthwhile. The only minor drawback I find with multi-tips is when you're fishing stillwater and want to retrieve almost to your leader, I find the loops coming back into the guides a bit annoying. Ken

They are the cat sass when fishing rivers as most pools/runs/conditions are different so it really makes it a lot easier to properly fish the section. I find they cast pretty wickedly
