Tyees on the inside do exist. Saw lots over 30 lbs this year and 3 40-43lbers. That said everyone loves pics of slabs!

Cheers All,

Cheech: I posted pictures of 2 of my tyees caught last year off Nanaimo with the largest - at 37 lbs - caught off Gabriola Island. In fact two of my tyees were evidenced and weighed by DFO who was fishing with me on both occasions. Nice to have that type of proof. Oh yeah...right...nobody trusts DFO. So much for that! ;) While it is nice to catch big fish my entire focus is on the client and that they enjoy themselves. Sometimes that means salmon other times ling cod, prawns or even dungness.

However I will ensure I have more pictures this year. That truely has been a deficiency in my charters as I enjoy fishing more than taking pictures. To be honest, I really don't take great pictures and have thoroughly enjoyed the pictures that have been submitted by FVI members. However, like anything else in life, practice makes perfect and I will try my best to provide more this year. If you can place your order early I will ensure you have an autographed copy! ;)

I'm sure I speak for most/all here, in that we are all looking forward to see 'a few' pics of your guiding exploits over the coming months.
I know it can be difficult to pull a camera out and, snap a few timeless treasures that your clients may want to pay extra for but, please try... for us.
Better yet do the vid thing as suggested earlier. What better advertising is there?
WE would all love to see you and your clients on youtube.
We will all reciprocate and do the same. Won't we gang! I know I will.

Cheech just curious why you seem to doubt him hitting tyees? I will agree there was alot of 26-28lb fish though.
