I will be out 6am early saturday to get the slack and proceed to troll past low slack late afternoon, if weather permits.

Spent several pleasant hours out at French Creek today, but only was able to bring in some Pacific Cod. Word was that there was a 10# spring caught, but didn`t see it. The plankton is having a good year based on the bloom that is in the water, and was heavy on the downrigger cables and lines. Lure-washer

I spent a few hours trolling around the fingers then offshore a few miles then off of entrance island... nothing to report. I saw a lot of fish on the sounder. Didn't see any of the other boats hook into anything. The fish on the sounder were mainly between 100 and 180ft, I dragged a purple haze hootchie, cop car spoon, watermelon, pilchard, wonder bread, anchovies in an army truck teaser... whats the hot set-up?? None of mine were working!

My son out from Winnipeg and I fished French Creek Monday - caught 3 5 - 7 # and Tuesday - much rougher but managed to get 2 around 5#. All caught north of the ramp in 220 feet of water - fishing at 100 - 120 feet,

Good day off the Fingers yesterday. Fished from 11am until 2pm and managed to boat 4 out of 5 fish. Only one was legal but the others were close enough to measure if you were into keeping a fish after a long winter drought. 130' to 165' on the green/white glow coyote spoon. Three to four miles offshore.

I'd post a pix Tightlines but my arms are not long enough to make it look a respectable size.
