Going to sell my ProLine 21 WA--should I sell it with my 4 stroke 9.9 merc or my newly rebuilt 2 stroke 9.9 merc--the 4 stroke is currently on the boat and plumbed to the main fuel tank---is the work to remove the heavy motor worth the trouble??

I think you should take the 4banger off the boat and sell it real cheap to someone on the forum.

If you choose to do so, lemme know.

In the end though, it's already plumbed, may as well leave it on. Value added. JMO.

Cheers,
Cowboy

Cheers,

Depends if you are going to purchase a new boat and need the 4 stroke. Also depends if the 4 stroke is worth saving. I would think that that would decide it for me as the work is minor and whoever purchses IF they don't know a 4 was on there, would be happy to have a kicker as you don't get a whole lot per se for the kicker.

My 2 cents....

the new boat will get a kicker with trim etc. instead of easy steer and manual lift, so gonna sell it with the kicker as opposed to keeping it- it's a great kicker and quiet, but heavy to lift for an old guy like me--probably not worth more than 500 bucks on the used market---looks like I will keep the 2 stroke for a zodiac or something- thanks guys.
