New Sport Store

Does anyone know when the new Sport Store (sorry, couldn't remember the name of it) across from Rutherford Mall (Nanaimo North Town Center) is going to open up :?:

I need some electronics, and am hoping that there will be some great sales.

I have no idea when they will be opening, but the name is Wholesale Sports.
They were supposedly interviewing for positions a couple of weeks ago.

You'll like the store, they started in Calgary (Baroto's/Frenchies Sports) back in the 70's, they now have stores in Ab., Sask., and B.C.. If they hold to the Ab. prices, the Island retail shops will have some decent competion. e.g. Lowrance HDS7in Victoria (May) $1395.00, in Edmonton $1195.00

A fellow we talked to outside the store a week or so ago said it might open AUG 4

I've just heard rumours thus far, both Aug 1 and Aug 4 seem to be thrown around the most for a soft launch with the grand opening sometime in late August.

For those that have never been in a Wholesale Sports, lock up your Visa cards. Wow.

One of the guys hired to work in the store part time told me yesterday the soft opening was going to be on Monday. We will go by and see if that is the case.

I work at Honda in Nanaimo, so I am always on test drives going past the store. I have been seeing more and more cars there everyday..... but the doors are always closed.

I am new back to fishing... so it may be a great opportunity to load up my boxes with gear.

Wholesale Sports will be the largest sports store on the island. I have been in the new store a couple of times talking with management and it is going to be nice! Over 48,000 square feet! Almost as much as the rest of the entire island combined.

I don't have the dates as to when the store will be opening but I am also waiting with 'baited breath!'
