well back from 4 days fishing nootka, rained for 3 days, oh well, then W'ly showed up sunday. coho galore, from the monument out. it appears springs aren't quite here yet, as most boats we talked with said, hard to find. We got 3 . Tied into a barn door off bajo, but lost after 45 mins of being dragged around, Son wanted to get a halibut, now he knows what they can do... Commie prawn boats left sound on friday, counted 7, and prawning was sloooowww in usual good spots. Did make it out to bajo twice on first couple days, but retreated with the rising SE and SW was in order...Season is early, there was only 27 trailers parked at ramp.. but it was a good trip overall.. The guy that got the 80lb hali ( heard on radio ) was at our dock.....nice fish....
