heypac drifter, fished at cowichan for a bit on sunday and i do fish the lakes and rivers on the island.too bad about adam but you can go to rich at RS marine in east sooke,he,s great.fishing was good this season with many sockeye, springs and coho vac packed.had 4 tyee in the thirties this season biggest being a 36 lb monster caught off otter point.have not attained my 40+ pounder that i am seeking, next season.i start picking up large running springs in mid march so it is not so far off.caught a nice coho on nov 18,very late but proof that i have got them well in to nov.i fish year round and there are only a few dead months.jan, feb part of march.december is good for feeders.SS out.......

Well the northern coho have all gone up the rivers to spawn a new generation of wily adversaries. So now i will fish winter springs and patiently wait until next fall when the air starts to cool and the leaves start to turn brown, for these are the signs that it is time to go west,as far out as the shipping lanes. To fast troll the deepwater tidelines in search of my seasonal foe who i know will show, with great expectation of a mighty strike and a screaming reel. This is my favorite time of year and my favorite species of salmon. So until next year and a new batch of Northern Coho,s.Happy fishing>Salmonslayer over and out............
