I have a question about my OMC leg, started the boat put into forward and off to the races, when i went to put it into neutral it wouldn't go, so i unhooked the cable and tried manually to switch gears (motor was running) with no luck, turned the engine off and it changed gears fine, started the engine and the same thing, so i had to turn the engine off put it into forward then start the engine in gear, the cable has been change and is smooth and has been adjusted, any help would be great or if you know of a OMC 1988 in great shape for a 4.3 for a reasonable price all depends on what is wrong

Check your shift interupter module.

sounds like it...if you can't get it figured out on your own, the guys at Ocean Marine in Nanaimo got mine shifting smooth as silk.

Good morning, thank-you for the information, I have replaced the moduel and in the process i found bad wiring so I rewired the boat, haven't put the boat in the water yet but hopefully that is the problum, thank's again
