PIcture Of The Month: Janaury 2010

So I plan on experimenting with a Picture Of The Month (POTM) promotion here on FVI and if it is a success we'll continue on with it.

Basically we'll use this thread for any and all photos for January and at the end the month "Fishing Guide" and myself will choose a winner.

For the January winner we'll send out a custom UV "Jelly Fish Crush" flasher and a custom pack of UV hootchies(blue jelly fish squirts, Blue UV/ Glow splatterback & Electric Chair ). Any of those hootchies with that flasher fished deep for winters is deadly :mrgreen:

So post a pic and if its the best we'll send you the package!

I am totally inept at taking pictures but I do recognize a great one. So ... come one ... come all! Post those pictures and let's see what's hiding behind those lenses. We have some great picture takers on this forum (RT comes to mind immediately) so I know that you are out there. Can hardly wait to see what you have to brighten our days. Bring 'em on!

doesn't really matter for this one Kelly. The only rule for future months will be it can't have been entered in a previous months contest.

How do you get the picture to fill the screen when you have to keep it under 100kb?

And what's the best way to attach a photo?

Go to Photobucket, download your photo's there. The move your curser over the picture and a drop down box will show up with four boxes. Pick the bottom one, IMG, right click on it, hit copy, then go to your post and put the curser where you want the picture, right click and hit paste.

hey Codfather,

Yes you can upload pics directly to the forum in the post window but they must be 100kb or smaller, that size doesn't directly related to actual picture dimensions its just that the bigger the bigger generally the larger the file size. But big pictures can be adjusted quality to wise to fall under the 100kb limit.

If you want to post pics of unlimited size then do what Sitka has suggested with photobucket, if you haven't used it before its dead simple once you try it.

Oh and Sitka enter as many pics as you like but I'm hoping to make this a monthly contest and increase the size of the prizes as we build it up. So keep that in mind before you blow your wad on January's contest.
