Back from three days at the nook, started off with the crabs and the prawns, did very well with those. The winter springs are in for sure, barely made it out of the harbour before we had one on. I wish the weather co-operated a bit better but still nmanaged to make it out side for some sea bass and a limit of cod, I saw osama on his grady heading out there while we were on the way in. Most boats we saw had at least a pair of fish on board, One guy with a Pursuit even had an 18lbr at the cleaning table, said he picked it up at whittlestone. When i go next, im not going to bother messing around with all the traps, the fishing is to good.We released 1 and kept a 12 and a 13 in the 3 hours we put into trolling

Great report, although it will make the weeks between now and the derby a bit less bearable.

Thanks for the report Lance. From what I'm reading, it sounds like you're staying in the bunkhouse for the derby. Good, we'll see you there.
Better bring those traps though. Fish can be very spotty this time of year.
