I recently had my custom built gunel railing and kicker bracket powder-coated by J.J.'s Powder coating in Chemainus. He quoted below other island shops and the end result was great. Not only did he quote below other shops but when all was said and done he came in $75.00 below his quote. I can't remember the last time if ever I had any sort of work done that came in below the quoted price. I would highly recommend him.

There was a place in Victoria that did powder coating and charged $50 for a set of 22" rims for a car or truck a year or two ago.

It's a simple process so the cost shouldn't be too much. hell you can buy the kit for about $60 + paint at canadian tire and take the powder coated piece to a place and ask them to bake it for you. It's all the prep and finishing work that costs the money.
