I'll be joining ya'll on the island Sept 3 - 6 for some fishing. In the past we have fished the hump on the south tip of quadra up to Browns Bay and Deep Water...pretty much only on the west side of quadra as the boat is docked in Gowlan Harbour.

Any tips as to whit might be running and where at that time...sounds like we're missing the sockeye up there right now :( Hopefully there are still some moving thru at that time. What about springs off the hump? Any action on the south end?

Thanks all.

PS - I'll get your lead over to you then Gerry...as long as I am not a foot passenger that is!

Cheers Gooey,

What? Not going to fill your jean pokets with lead? haha Let me know what you finally figure out and I may take the boat that way for a day of fishing.

Gooey, try for springs early morning in front of campbell River, south of the fishing pier on the flood tide.

Sockeye, pinks, and coho should still be in good numbers from plumper, deep water and green sea. Still should be the odd spring around the last two places. Hope this helps.....................BB

Read the Browns bay report so it seems like there could be some socs if the seiners don't get em all.

Any spring action off the hump? wee had some good luck there last season but it was earlier in the summer.

My host really wants some halibut...any info on halies around quadra? And no, he is a new boat operator so he's not looking to head offshore.

Thanks All,
