Cheers All,
I took a while last evening to again "evaluate" D.C. Reid's article. It is accurate and I could not find anything 'factual' that one could take exception. It may not be in the fashion or form that any one of us may have taken but we don't know what type of 'constraint' he has in having his work published. What I do know that he is - in whatever fashion he is capable - reaching the masses with information that there is something amiss in British Columbia. His 'overview' of the situation is not perfect but rarely do I find such and to expect it from him, or anyone, is simply unrealistic.
In conclussion I would heartily concur with Mi Chica:

While Mr. Reid is probably guilty of many sins, and certainly is not universally respected, he does have a following and some visibility. IMHO if BoBo the clown stands up and helps alert people to the gross mismanagement of our fisheries I think that is a good thing. The more people who start raising a stink, the more likely it becomes that there might be sufficient impetus to force some positive action.
Cheers
Most sincerely,
