Hey everyone,
Just a reminder to be safe on the water, and make sure that alcohol is consumed responsibly. I was on Sidney Spit this weekend and noticed some boaters over-indulging. Thanks!

great reminder ritch, I was out that way also this weekend and noticed a yahoo in a double eagle who looked like he couldn't handle his alcohol.

Why do we always see the summer warriors endangering themselves and others. They just won't learn, and there are not enough enforcement people to make a difference. It wouldn't be so bad if they just put themselves at risk but they make it dangerous for the rest of us. Like driving a car, assume everyone else is crazy, drunk, or stoned, and protect yourselves. It also wouldn't hurt to pass on details of dangerous boaters to the RCMP and/or local harbourmaster.

oh big deal so people like to have some drinks on the water - I know I don't fish without a case of lucky on board - maybe some palm bay coolers too, the more the merrier.
If you can't catch a salmon catch a buzz right.
