I fish with Shimano mooching reels and have been told by folks that should know, that I should, and also that I should never grease or otherwise lubricate the drag washers. I usually run them dry, but supposedly Shimano grease them. What is the general consensus on this? Lure-washer

Thanks Whalebreath, I`ll try that and see how it works. Dry washers seem to work alright, but maybe lubricated are better. Thanks Lure-washer
