Has anyone been having success in Sidney lately? Are there any pinks showing up? I've heard that the Pender bluffs can be decent when the pinks show.
Also, my buddy told me that a 40+ fish was caught at Sidney spit this past week. Any truth to this?

Was passing by the launch at Tulista yesterday and the creel suveyer said that there were pinks coming in from Pender. Should be a good time to try for springs along the bluffs too.

Tried a short shift at the Pender bluffs last night. Super slow. We only saw one very small fish caught. Apparently there were fish there a couple days before. We did see a fair amount of activity on the sounder in tight. Was a beautiful evening though.
We did see a few boats fishing Fairfax. Just a reminder that area is non-retention of Chinook. Make sure you brush up on any closures and regs before you head out.

I was out at pender for drinks last night and saw a couple of pinks flipping in the tide lines just off bedwell.
I also saw a pod of about 50 orcas come through and some where definitely feeding so there must be a couple around. Judging by how gang busters the pinks where off the waterfront a few weeks ago they must be at the wall by now in good numbers

Did you guys get any? What are you riding in these days MM, a K&C? I'm going to back out to Sooke on the weekend.

No we weren't fishing, just hitting the pub. Ya my boat is a little 17 K&C with a single merc 4-stroke on the back. I work out of a 25 wellcraft out of the waterfront though - give me a shout if you see me in either.

out for a real quick tow last night trying to hit the tide change. Shook hands with one quickly, drank a fee beer and headed back home. Sure got chilly out there, I've had warmer evenings in Feb.
