The Silva Bay Derby will be held June 19-20 this year. Tickets are $25/rod and available at Harbour Chandler, Silva Bay Marina and Pages Resort. Lots of fun and prizes. Proceeds will go to the Nanaimo River Hatchery again this year. I have been asked about the distinction between family and boat tickets for the derby. There is NO boat ticket. It is $25/rod. The family ticket is $50 and includes immediate family members only.

First prize is $1000.00. The prize table normally includes a big item from Harbour Chandler and then dozens of other great prizes. It usually comes down to everyone who catches a fish wins a prize. This year should be no exception. Gather at the Silva Bay dock after the weigh-in closes on Sunday. Burgers and refreshments are available.
