I didn't see this thread but I will start it. Haven't been out yet just waiting for the slot size to be over!!! Anyone been out?

I'm in the same boat, Smiley. I hate foul hooking salmon and having to throw them back. Next weekend.

I like what I am hearing from some reports today in Sooke, «nothing huge but my bud got a quick limit out West of the light today in short order. Out Thursday and can hardly wait for the Derby weekend.

Hi guys was out all weekend in the derby which our team placed 12 then went out yesterday heard of a few around but not gang busters by any means lost 2 for the morning trip cause.... WHEN I say reel and dont look at the fish and then they dont reel and the flasher comes up to the surafce flaoting ooooppps gone!!!!! al i do then is say lets get er down and look for another one!!!!! maybe out tommorow calling for gales have to be a morning look...

Its always that or they won't let go of the reel and try to over power then fish - then pop, its gone. Nice work on 12th place, heard it was really tough fishing for the derby.
