well anybody been down to the river mouth or campsite for a look lately? Should be just about time to start seeing some fish about?

Drive by it every day and haven't seen anything.. I also went to another near by river mouth to see if they were staging, but no luck. But they are calling for rain this week, so we should see some soon.

yes below the bridge is tidal regs, above the bridge is fly fishing only, single barbless.

well, fly fishing only until Dec 1... Then I can rip out my centerpin anytime after that... really wished they made a centerpin exception..using flies of course

Fly fishing only? So spinning rod is out? Crap I was hoping to try sooke river this year. now I gotta lear how to flyfish.

yup sorry no spinning rods, but its a great river to learn how to fly fish, lots of spots with wide open back cast and you don't need to cast very far in most places.
On a side note, its raining - should be fish moving up soon.

agreed.. Some seriously rain fall is expected Monday, so I'm hoping it'll be enough to start pushing fish up.
