went out for salmon yesterday and got nothing ,today went out with a friend and did manage to pickup up a decent 12 lb Spring for him to take home.lots of fish activity on the scope but they don't seem to be feeding actively.Any way am getting out there in between weather squalls, don't see to many others except for a few people on the weekend. There are halibut close in right now probably feeding on the salmon carcases washing down the rivers, people are setting up right off Sooke i havn't had much luck with the species yet,Salmonslayer over and out.........

.
went out today, saturday Nov 21.Fishing was good .Alot of small springs in the area today. It was hard to keep up with them couple of decent ones for dinner.Winter fishing is great if you can handle the wind and weather.i have a lot of fun with winter springs anyway they are never huge but they are lively and willing to put up a decent fight.I have had a few over ten lbs that fought like crazy,i mean good quality fish fight.Would like to see more boats out there to give all these fish a hard time.Ss out.......few guys out hali banging.

Hey Ss, you're a die hard if you get out in this awfull weather. I'll be out once the storms ease up. Was up at Cowichan Lake on the weekend bagging cutties. Got 4 and had to let 3 go due to oversize. Lake was not much better than on the ocean but I troll about 30 feet from shore so not so worried about wind and waves. My buddy picked up and released a 12 lb coho in the lake.

Fished Beecher, Bedfords and Church on Dec 30th. Lots of small springs but nothing worth keeping. Only saw 1 fish that was netted (about 5 - 6 lbs.)

out of pedder today for a few hours, fished pedder, whirl and church for just 2 3-4lb springs that we released. Saw a couple of guys net some fish but nothing that I would have kept myself.

I can't believe how many boats are out though, church rock was like it was in summer. Nice to get out for a few hours though, just glad we brought the heater!!

heading out tomorrow and it looks like the wind will calm down and by this time tomorrow hopefully we'll have a couple of fish in the tub. Anybody been out the last week?

went out sat. from around 11-3, we fished church and secretary with a quick pass by the trap and the head. Not much going on out there at all :| - tons of boats of secretary but we only saw two minnows caught but the water was flat and pretty good weather so it was still a nice day out there.

Hopefully next weekend will shape up better.
