have been out couple times lately.Went out sunday and got 2 feeders, they are starting to put some size on.one was about ten lbs.the other 6-7lbs.good eating size.it all depends on the weather now .trying to match a day with decent slow tide and weather for halibut but have not gone out hali proper.Salmonslayer out.....

went out wednsday, nov 11.The winter feeder fishing is better than average i would say.Had a repeat of sunday with an 12 lb and a 6 lber. They were both taken on the same setup, watermelon teaser and a large herring 7inch.i have been having good success with the oversize herring, they seem to be able to see it better in the low light and they are more robust.Salmonslayer out.....

i would like to tell you about the very worthy feeder foe that i caught yesterday. It was not the size of this fish that made it noteworthy it was his heart. This guy weighed about 12lb ,but he fought like he was a twenty lb coho. Was fishing off the bluffs in Sooke like i always do and thought i got a hit on top line, but then the other side went off hard,i must have went through a school or he brushed the other line as he went for the big herring in the watermelon glow teaser. The levelwind was screaming as he took line. This fish was odd, came straight up from 150feet and rocketed out of the water a good ten feet, flasher out and all.i thought Coho, but too late in the season. This guy could fight. For a feeder i rate him a ten plus.I fought this little guy for about twenty minutes and he continued to do flips and somersalts, take line and carry on.It is a good thing he was well hooked for he tried hard enough.Got him in,cool.Remember to have lots of line on your reels for some of these guys can run.Salmonslyer over and out...

i know, i should video tape some of this stuff. Ok probably not exactly ten feet but far enought to see all the flasher+ off a 6foot leader.I have seen many salmon ,especially coho jump very high ,especially a 'rocket shot from 150',\.Video is hard to do when playing a fish and i don't carry a videographer in my boat for space is at a premium.Anyway ,my brother, and fishing partner can attest to this. This fish was a nut.Ss out
