Howdy, I heard there was a big slide on the road just before the campground a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if it has been cleared for access to the river at the campground. Thanks Later

Haven't been up there in a spell... BUT, the local paper noted it would be " several weeks" before the slide would/could be cleared. Likely still there methinks... Anyone been in to look? Nog

If its still blocked must be after the first turn, seems like the kamakazi launched at the pullout

The slide came down right at the entrance to the campground. If you had been parked there your vehicle would be covered in mud and trees. Campground is fine, just no vehicle access.

I've been to the falls a couple of times to take the dog for a couple of walks on the trails there and the slide is completely gone and they've even planted some grass on the hill to help stabilize that area.
Also seen a few campers and such there already and the road going to the campground has been grated to get rid of some of those nasty pot holes that developed over the winter.
