Just a little taste of hopefully what is to come............

Fishing has been fairly good over the last 10 days.......We are concentrating in the lower river now chasing the fresh chrome sea licers coming in on the tides. The early fish are 95% hatchery run with quite a few being 10lbs and up. All are chrome beauties with sea lice so far, so you know they haven't been in the river for very long. Roe and roe sacs with shrimp pieces have been doing the job very well so far. Got a couple on shrimp tails the other day too......gonna go pump some fresh ghost shrimp for the next trip and see how those little buggers work. The fish are still pretty spread out, and you have to search around a bit to find them. No really big schools yet, mostly 2-4 and a lot of singles. Right now, they are where ya find them!! The Sproat rapids, Alligator run, Lucky Star and powerline rapid have been the most ( if you can say that ) consistent so far, but the fish are very fresh and moving all the time. Best thing is just to get out and start looking!! Good Luck to all......here are some pics from the last 10 days or so.......

Just a quick update on the Stamp......After being fairly dry the last week or so, the rains have returned to the West Coast!! The Stamp has jumped back up to a more near normal winter time height, and the steelhead are loving it!! Lots of chrome bright winters are pushing in now with more than a few being of very nice size. The season so far has been quite a pleasant surprise in the average size of fish returning. LOTS of fish in the double digits so far, and all just lazer bolt chromers!! Bait is still knockin' em dead out there, with fresh steelhead roe, chinook egg bait sacs with shrimp pieces and the odd shrimp tail gettin' it done most often. Haven't run the plugs much this year, but with all the fresh fish around, I'm sure they would get a nibble or two. All the usual spots are producing a fish or two, including from the rifle range down to Swanson's. The Sproat has been a pleasant surprise so far this year, with the rapids giving up quite a few nice ones early in the season. Here are some pics from the last 10 days or so......
