Anybody heard anything about tofino lately? I'm heading up for 4 days on the long weekend, hopefully we'll get offshore for a look around

My brother-in-law and I took in a 6 hr charter out of Tofino last Tuesday. Couple hali's about 20 lbers and that was it. Tried further out for salmon, not even a bite. Guide was a bit surprised as they have been doing not too bad, but not for us. Only seen one other boat out there although there is some kind of commercial opening on the banks off Uke.

hmm, not exactly what I wanted to hear there SM. We'll be heading up around Hesquiaht and overnighting on the hook in clayoquot sound so hopefully we'll find some fish up there.
Thanks for the report though!

I hear ya. And hate to be the bearer of bad news. One thing to note, the only person with worse luck than me when it comes to fishing is my brother-in-law.
Hope you have a good trip and bring home lots of fish.

Heading out there this weekend. Can you point me in the right direction. I am a little reluctant as the reports are mixed.

I know fishing around Long Beach has been good. Our guides are picking up salmon and halibut there. Thanks, Sam Vandervalk www.salmoneye.net/blog/
