Thought I would try to add some chatter to this saltwater thread

What are your top 3 lures that have been around for a decade ?
What are your top 3 current lures that have been around for less than a decade?

Really I should probably ask what are your favorite lures rating from 2nd most favorite to your 4th most favorite
some fisherman might be a little resistant to give out there #1 lure

Purple haze hootchy/squirt

3.5 cop car coyote

That copcar spoon used to be my "go to " lure
caught lots of Springs on it.
Funny though, i haven't used it in years ???

Tough to narrow it down like that but if I could only have a few pieces of gear on the boat it might look something like:

Old stuff:
Rhys teaser heads
green/red hot spot
tomic plugs
White hootchy

Newer stuff:
UV hootchies/squirts (purple, pink & blue stripes)
JDF teaser heads
Wonder Bread Coyote
Purple onion flashers

My top 3 lures overall would be the Purple Haze Hootchy, Coyote Watermelon spoon and the Jim Gilbert glow green Krippled anchovy head.

Top 3 plus honorable mention.

Green and white splatter back Hootchie
MP 16 pink mini Hootchie
Tomic plug- white with pink stripes

And I've got to give honorable mention to the green and white Apex lure. Used to slay Coho off French Creek back in the mid 80's to early 90's with the Apex.

I am new to the site after reading the posts daily for the last while so here goes.

* red/green/blue "standard issue" (to quote Big Chrome) hot spot flashers

NEWER FAVORITES

I love fishing spoons, just less hassle and they catch fish. That being said I don't mind fishing the old anchovie either.

Gibbs #7 half and half brass and chrome wonder spoon

New gear thats as dad would say sicodelic like acid trips
