Got out fishing yesterday and after an unsuccussful trip to our favorite lake, my bro and I discovered our new little honey hole.

Never fished it before and after looking at it we thought we would try it out.

Nothing on the fly rod after 10 minutes and my brother and I don't exactly have tons of patience for fly so we switched back to our faithful willow leaf. Before we could get our lines down, the first strike hit.

Missed that one but within 5 minutes we had our lines down again and bang! Double header.

Landed both fish and successfully released one - the other swallowed the hook.

Lines back in and within 5 minutes we were onto our second double header of the day!

We proceeded to catch and succussfully release 8 more within an hour.

Took these two beauties home after not being able release them.

I couldn't believe that on a fast gang troll - the fish were able to swallow a hook. I have never seen it before. The hits weren't love taps either - they were hammered!

Nothing under 15" in size.

Will be hoping to get back out again soon.

Hope everyone else had a great fishing weekend/father's day.

Here are a couple of photo's from the morning.

Cheers!

Leischvost

Took my daughter out in the boat yesterday and managed to land this little beauty.

She did the reeling while I held the tip up. She loved every minute of it up till I told her that she had to clean it!

17", weighed in at 2lb 4oz.

Great morning but other than that fish, it was quiet.
