aYup, even with Five Licenses looking!

Had another couple of banner days out there again. Yesterday didn't even leave the dock until nearly 9 am, and was back shortly after noon with full tubs! Springs up to high twenties galore!

Cheers,
Nog

Just wondering if someone could give me an idea of how far the highway is off shore and from Hali spot as well. Got a tinkered chart Charlie sent me but its not to scale so I have know Idea if it would be in my boats range to get to either spot

Cheers thegreatpumpkin,

There are a few spots producing off Ucluelet. The 'Highway' starts about 5 miles off and goes all the way to 31 miles. Five miles out is Lighthouse/Amphetrite Bank and we limited out there my last trip out. You continue out and find the wreck at 12 miles and La Perousse Bank (Big Bank) out about 28 miles out.

Unless you have a big boat or are going with another, stick to the 5 miles banks as there are LOTS of fish there and it is close in case you have to run for cover. I caught halibut and springs and coho there and will be back this week for more!

Hope this helps.

A so-so day here in Ukee. Lots of fish but only a few keepers. Some killer strikes.
Plugs early and hootchies later. South Bank busy, moved to SW Corner with some success and a nice Hali.
There are NO Coho around!

Cheers,

Stange that there are no coho. Last year we couldn't keep them off and had trouble getting gear through them for the springs. This year I have landed exactly one coho (even if it was a nice one) and kinda long for the return of these
acrobatic salmon. I have caught more coho in Nanaimo than in the 4 trips out to Ucluelet. :(
